Every Indian kitchen had one drawer. Rubber bands, a dead torch, three keys to locks nobody remembers, and a pile of matchboxes. Tiger, ship, lion, a man on a scooter grinning like he'd just won the lottery. We kept them because they were too good-looking to throw away.
Matchbox Society is what happens when you never quite stop looking. We take the stuff we grew up staring at, from matchbox labels and truck-back art ("Horn OK Please", always) to hand-painted shop boards and the 90s signage that told us to Kripya Dhyan Dein, and redraw it onto heavyweight tees.
How it works
- Numbered drops. Every design gets an archive number. Drop 01 is "Safety Matches Vol. 1": 16 designs, numbered No. 01 to No. 16.
- Only 50 of each, never reprinted. Every design is capped at 50 pieces. When it's gone, it's gone. It's a collection, not a catalogue.
- Members first. The ₹99 Society Membership gets you early access and the ₹1,499 members' price before anyone else.
Think of it as a club with no secret handshake. You just need good taste and a soft spot for things that came in a tiny cardboard box.
